There are in some circumstances that you would like to prevent a number from calling your phone. If you do then you could try to use a free app called Cold Shoulder.

Cold Shoulder allows you to block unwanted texts and calls, and send an automatic reply to any blocked message.

The application has the ability to block text messages, block calls, block calls with no caller id, send an automatic reply to blocked texts and provide a full log of all blocked calls and texts.

There are also other app like IM Driving or SwiftReply Lite which you could use and they are also free.
