Follow this step by step guide to perform a hard reset on the Palm Centro device.

When you want to sell your device to someone else, you would want to format the device because you wouldn't want them to have access to your personal data. The reset will erase everything on the phone this includes data, customized settings and any profile data on the device. If you want to use the data on the phone later on, then you better make a backup of it first before you carry out this operation. You can use HotSync to backup and restore you data.

Here's how to reset the device:

1. Place your device face down and open the back cover.

2. Take out the battery for a few seconds and then place it right back in.

3. As soon as you place the battery back in the device will startup, when you see the Palm logo appears press and hold on the Power/End button. A black progress bar will appears and will move from left to right. When that black progress bar disappear you can release the Power/End button.

4. You will be prompt if you want to Erase all Data?. Press the Up key to confirm your choice.

5. Next you can choose a language of your choice to reset the device.

Your device should now be restored back to the factory setting.
