Learn how to perform a hard reset on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro.

If your device is stuck, frozen and not responding to your command, then you could try to reset it back to the factory setting.

Note that if you follow the below steps all your data is lost. So make a back up first before resetting the device.

 

Here's how:

1. Press the Menu key.

2. Then tap on Settings.

3. Next scroll down and tap on Privacy.

4. Select Factory Data reset (Erases all data on phone).

5. Next press on the Reset phone button. If you want to erase the SD card too then ensure the checkbox Erase SD card is ticked.

6. Now tap on Erase everything.

Now wait for your phone to reboot and take you back to the factory settings.

 

Hard Reset with hardware key - use this option if your phone is stuck and not responding

1. Switch off the device, by pulling out the battery, wait for 30 seconds and pop it back in.

2. Now press and hold the Left and Right buttons at the same time. It is beneath the LCD display screen. Then press and release the Power button.

3. A menu now should appear which you can following the on screen instruction.

Following the on screen reset your device should go back to the default factory setting and any downloaded content previously is wipe out.
