When you first have your device you may start playing around with it alot, you may have modified a lot of the settings so you could see what the phone can do. With the many changes over time your device may not be working as you would like it to be. Maybe now is the time you would like to hard reset it back to the default manufacturer settings.
Also by resetting the device you may find it will run a lot faster because the device will start fresh from scratch.
Soft Reset - This process will not cause you to lost personal data or downloaded content. It only put the phone's settings back to default.
Here's how you could get it back to factory setting:
1. Go to the Home screen.
2. Press on the Menu.
3. Next tap on the Settings.
4. Then tap on the Phone option.
5. Next tap on Reset Phone.
6. Now tap on Yes to confirm.
7. Put in the password and tap on the Confirm button. Do this again to confirm the password.
8. Wait for your phone to reboot and check out if the setting has gone back to default.
Hard Reset - This process will reset the setting as well as erase all your personal data and downloaded content.
Note: if you have any data that you feel you need to keep please back up before proceed with the below steps. Once the data is gone it is gone forever.
1. Go to the Home screen.
2. Press on the Menu.
3. Next tap on the Settings.
4. Then tap on the Phone option.
5. scroll down the screen and then tap on Restore Phone.
6. Now tap on Yes to confirm.
7. Put in the password and tap on the Confirm button. Do this again to confirm the password.
8. Wait for your phone to reboot and check out if the setting has gone back to default.
