Solved: How to rotate the screen on the iPad 2 so you could turn it to horizontal or vertical.

You may have just purchase the iPad 2 and as you playing with it. You then noticed that the screen does not rotate when you turn the device 90 degrees over. Maybe you screen has orientation locked.

To ensure that it's not locked, you can slide the side switch up and down to ensure that its not locked. The side switch is just above the up and down volume key.

You can also assign the screen orientation to the side switch by doing the following:

1. Go the Home screen.

2. Then tap on Settings.

3. Tap on General.

4. Select Use the Side Switch....

5. Finally tap on Lock Rotation.
