Learn how you could synchronize and fetch data from the server automatically so that you can see if you have any new incoming emails.

Whether you are using MobileMe, Gmail, Yahoo, MSN Mail, Microsoft Exchange, Excite or any other email provider you could set it up so that periodically the iPad auto checking for new emails, and if there are any different from the iPad and the mail server it will download the new data. Here's how you can set it up:

1. Press the Home button.

2. Then tap on Settings.

3. Select General.

4. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

5. Then tap on Fetch New Data.

6. Now tap Turn Push On to enable the feature.

From this screen you could also decide how often should the device perform a check on the server. The more often it checks the more battery power it uses. So if you would like to save some power on the device then it is recommended that you decrease the check frequency.
