Secure your data on the iPad by setting the passcode on the iPad 2, so that if someone got hold of your iPad they would not breach your privacy.
By default the iPad does not require a passcode to get access to all the app on the device. If you want to prevent unauthorise access then here's how you can setup the password:
1. Press the Home button to go to the Home screen.
2. Tap on Settings.
3. Then tap on General.
4. Next tap on Passcode Lock.
5. Then tap on Turn Passcode On.
6. From the Set Passcode screen, put in the 4 require secret digit, then reconfirm it by entering it in again.
7. In the Require passcode, select if you want to apply the new setting immediately.
Your iPad is now locked with a password. If you later want to change the password you could go back to this same screen and select Change passcode to change it.
