Before you could connect to a virtual private network (VPN) on the iPad you must enable it first. Once the the setting has been enabled you can configure it and securely start to communicate with other devices. With VPN, while sending messages between your device and the other computer, the message is encrypted and send through a tunnel, which means other unauthorise people will not be to read your message.
The iPad supports three main protocols such as L2TP, PPTP and Cisco IPSEC.
Here's how:
To configure the VNP setting:
1. First you need to get yourself a VPN account. You could use PureVPN or other VPN provider such as MobileVPN. I recommend you to use PureVPN as the are a good service provider.
2. Next you need to add a VPN connection by tapping on "Add VPN Connection" from Settings> General > Network >VPN.
3. Next select the type of protocol. For example select PPTP.
4. Now fill in the require details such as Description, Server, Account, RSA SecurID, Password, Encryption Level and Send All Traffic.
Once you have filling in the detail connection you can then turn on VPN. You will need to disable Wi-Fi before you can establish VPN connection.
1. Go to the Home screen.
2. Tap on Settings.
3. Select General.
4. Pick Network.
5. Select VPN.
6. Now ensure the status is set to On.
Once you the connection is successfully established you will see an icon display at the top of the screen.
