How to enable the airplane mode on the iPad so you could use it while travelling.

In the old days when you go travelling on the aeroplane you would have to switch off your mobile devices. Now in the modern day, with all the smart devices you could still have your devices switch on, however they have to be switched to airplane mode. Here's how to do it on the iPad:

1. Go the Home screen.

2. Select Airplane Mode.

3. Then have the switch to either On or Off.

When it is switched on, you will notice a little aeroplane icon appears at the top of the screen.

By having this feature enable you won't be able to use GPS, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Here are some of the thing you can and can't do.

Can do:

  • View photos album
  • Make schedule on calendar, or view calendar.
  • Play music and watch video files
  • Read email messages from iPad.
  • Write documents
  • Read ebooks.
  • Play Games.
  • Do work on certain applicaiton.

Can't do:

  • Use map locations
  • Connect to the internet
  • Send/recieve email
  • Get weather report
  • Connect to online games server
  • Watch Youtube
  • Use Facebook

Although with modern aeroplane, now you could connect your device to the airplane Wi-Fi network and use the internet as normal. You can check with the flight attendant if you could connect your device to their Wi-Fi network and use the internet to send/recieve email, watch Youtube, use facebook and etc.
