The iPad 2 comes with a default background wallpaper for lock screen and home screen which you may not like, however you could easily change the background from a picture you have downloaded on the internet or from a photo you have taken on the camera roll.
Here's how:
1. Select a photo from a camera roll or from one of the photo collection, then tap on the right arrow out of the box icon .
2. Next tap on Use As Wallpaper.
3. Now you can edit the photo by panning it, or zooming in/out to make it looks the way you wanting it to look on the background.
4. Once you are happy, tap on Set Wallpaper.
5. Next select either Home Screen, Lockscreen or both.
