We just heard about Thunderst0rm, a new method of iPhone 3G/3GS jailbreak and unlock developed by group of swiss hackers / students. According to official site of Thunderstr0m they achieved jailbreak and unlock of iPhone 3G and 3GS with firmware 3.1.3 and baseband 05.12.01. Developers of thunderstr0m are planning to release in the wild on April 23, after several tests.
Don’t get your hopes so high, in recent months lots of new teams popped up and claim to have a working unlock/jailbreak but none of them released a working model. ...
