Over the past couple of years, a project called IronRuby has been underway at Microsoft aimed at creating an implementation of Ruby that runs under .NET. To help support early adopters of IronRuby we released a free (alpha) Visual Studio IDE with basic IronRuby support including project management, code colouring and formatting and a simple ‘form designer'.
