Macromedia announces that they are taking pre-orders for the fall release of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash and the Studio bundle.

An interesting development is that there will now be two versions of Flash. It appears to be a step back to the days of Dreamweaver and Dreamweaver UltraDev. The professional version will provide an enhanced toolset that will include server-side components, Actionscript support for data, tools for video, and mobile deployment capabilities.

With Studio MX 2004, Macromedia is still short-changing their Mac customers. Windows users will be getting the ColdFusion MX 6.1 Developer Edition. I understand that ColdFusion for OS X may be out of the question, but it seems to me that they could enhance JRun for Mac OS X and provide a great solution the would benefit all. Java on the server-side and Flash on the client-side would offer some great possibilities.
