We love you Adobe and Macromedia and I know that since you started competing with each other in a few markets you started to feel a love for one another that only money could buy. Now that you are becoming one and the ceremonies are taking place I ask you only one thing. Don't hyphenate your name. We are tired of the endless parade of companies that have two seemingly meaningless names in a row from some merger long since past. HP-Compaq seems destined to remain that way and if you move now you don't have to join their ranks!
I know that hyphenation of last names has become commonplace in married human couples, but we are comfortable with you corporations being a little more traditional. I think that you should just take the name of the company doing the buying. So I hope in the future to see Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Flash being released.
Love, Josh Baltzell
PS: My friend Linda really likes Freehand. Think you can keep that off the chopping block when you start cutting cost?
