I have liked enjoyed the nerd dinners so far (I typed that I “liked the nerd dinners” before I changed it to “enjoyed the nerd dinners.“  I changed it because every time I read it to myself I thought it sounded like I “licked the nerd dinners”.  I like you guys and all but sheesh.) I'm sad I have to miss the one coming up soon, but I thought I would get things going for the next one now.  Those of you who have come to the previous two nerd dinners know that I am a smoker.  In fact in social events where there is nothing to do but sit and talk I am what you might call a heavy smoker.  So I thought that I would string together a bunch of faulty logic and make a suggestion about what we do for the next one.

Things I know about nerds

1. Most of them have ADD
2. Most have trouble sitting still
3. Most of them enjoy competitive games.
4. Most nerds don't like to run around too much.

Things I know about me

1. I smoke a lot when I have nothing to do but sit.
2. I think I have ADD.
3. I don't like to sit still.
4. I enjoy competitive games.
5. I don't like to run around.

Things I know about me smoking a lot

1. My lungs start to hurt.
2. After a while I can't see the people at the end of the table through the cloud I generate.
3. Cigarettes cost about 16 cents each.

So with that knowlege I propose that we go somewhere other than a restaurant next time.  These guys had one at a laser tag place but that violates my assumptions in “Things I know about nerds 4” and “Things I know about me 5”.  So I was thinking that a pool hall might be fun.  I haven't been to all of them in Toledo, but the Misscue in Oregon has a bunch of video games along with pool tables and they also serve food and alcohol.

How does that sound to all of you geeky mofos?
