Ruby on Rails will now support this cool new feature called components.

What David has to say about it.

The infrastructure support in Rails will enable the use of lower-level components (which is what I’m interested in) and give people who wants to pursue the pipe dream the means to do so ;)

For me, low-level components are app-specific pieces that you reuse within the same application. It’s about DRY, not reuse.

Even though I haven’t seen a good high-level component scheme that works, I won’t absolutely rule out that it could work

I’m just betting that its unlikely
