I finally decided to get my self a PDF copy of the Programming Ruby 2nd Edition yesterday. Its pretty expensive to get a copy where I am since the shipping charges are very high. Thats one of the reasons I missed out on the first edition.

Ruby is a upcoming language. Not only it is easier, more productive but faster than most of the modern scripting languages. Ruby beats PHP in language performance. Ruby ranks 23 on the language showdown where PHP comes in the near closing last place of 29.
