I've just uploaded the second chapter of The Book Of Ruby - a free eBook to Ruby programming which will eventually span over 400 pages.
This chapter goes into the nitty-gritty details of creating class hierarchies with class variables, calling methods in super classes and using accessors to get and set instance variables.
