I love working with this guy, Eric. We've worked together in distributed teams in the past. Now we work together, everyday. I have never felt happier about my work at Yahoo. I've been working on "this" for little over a month, but it feels like forever -- that's a good sign.
What I like about my team is that everybody does whatever they can to get things done. And that's how I roll. That almost sounds like the way it should be, doesn't it? (I can hear people go "duh! but that's how it should be!")
Sadly, that was not how it was turning out to be in Bangalore.
"Here, meet our team."
"This is A. He does HTML 4.0.1 Transitional. He hates strict."
"This is B. He does back-fucking-end. He doesn't like it otherwise."
"These are C and D. They do CSS for IE 6 and IE 7 respectively. E does Firefox 2.0."
"This is F. He writes a new database abstraction layer every time, almost always for, uh, MySQL x.y."
"This is G. He used to do Java in some team. I wish he could contribute to the team."
