Lemurs are beautiful and deeply threatened creatures that are found only in Madagascar. Mike Lee of Delicious Monster is organizing something called Club Thievy in an attempt to encourage people to donate to the Madagascar Fauna Group.

This is a worthy cause. While I still haven’t decided whether I’m participating in Laptop Giving or I’m making a last-minute donation for 2007 to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders), I have donated to MFG; my wife did so earlier this year after reading Mike’s excellent Dinosaur Ranch. It’s the right thing to do, and I want to see Mike’s goal of 100 members in the troop reached. Mike has challenged Mac programmers: I’m challenging Ruby programmers.
