Now that I've talked a bit about globalize last week, I should probably also mention that Jespers L10n-simplified has come out in version 0.7. On the Copenhagenrb site he discusses a ticket he recently submitted to the Rails core related to this release.

+number_to_currency+ should support +:order+ to change order of +:unit+ and +:number+

This and similar tickets would make life easier in general for i18n'ists.
