Feed Description: Obie Fernandez talks about life as a technologist, mostly as ramblings about software development and consulting. Nowadays it's pretty much all about Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
So much to write, so little time. (Isn't that always the case at good conferences?) Today I enjoyed meeting R0ml Lefkowitz, who gave the entertaining Tomato keynote. I'm looking forward to attending his "Failing to Succeed" talk later this afternoon.
Last night I hung out with John Lam, first at the wildly-successful FOSCON event, and later at the Sun Open Source party at American Cowgirls. His RubyCLR stuff is brilliant and I finally understood what it is all about. Checkout the link to see his version of IRB on Avalon-enhanced steroids. Very cool.
A detailed summary of my talk "Driving Rails Deep Into the Back Office" is in the works and will be posted here soon.
