I have to admit I was somewhat perturbed by the email I received today, informing me that there were no official events planned for Thursday, June 22nd at RailsConf. Just ad-hoc stuff. That's all well and good, but it may have altered my flight plans. It's not like I could have checked the schedule - it was only released 3 days ago!

Fortunately, I have a friend who is going to let me stay with him on Wednesday evening. I can only wonder how many other people are flying in Wednesday night, thinking the conference would start Thursday morning.

I dunno. I know you can make lots of good contacts and get lots of good information in the "hallway sessions", but I still would like to have known in advance of booking my flight.
