I’m back, and have finally got round to blogging again. I’ve actually been back for a while now but it took some to get over the cold and dark of Ireland and i’ve been busy on a few things. Being away has given me a perspective on what is I actually want to be doing, but that’s a topic for another post. This one and the following related ones are just catch up posts really. I’m happy to be back in front of my PowerBook, I actually did miss coding while I was away which was glad to find out. I did think I might have burnt myself out on the last contract and I’d never want to code again but that’s definitely not the case.
Wrote a little rails app, KeyRef to generate a PDF key shortcut reference from TextMates “Show Keyboard Shortcuts” output
Started using the excellentSwitchtower for deploying my apps
Changed from Subversion to Darcs for my source control
Wrote a script to allow me to pull any Subversion repo into a Darcs one on my VPS
Started work on converting this blog and my hols one over to Mephisto. (I’m not ready to switch just yet as there are a few things I’d like to do to it first).
I’m going to so a separate article for each the above over the next week or so to avoid this turning into a monster!
