I have officially handed over the keys of the spreadsheet project(s) to Hannes Wyss.
When I started the project I had a vested interest in the project since I used it for writing various reports. However, these days I don't deal with reports nearly as much as I used to. When I do, I stick to csv files. So, it was high time I admitted to myself that I wasn't going anywhere with the project and that it would be better off in the hands of someone who was more likely to further its development.
Hannes kindly volunteered to take it over. He's a great choice because not only does he know Perl (which he'll need to port Spreadsheet::WriteExcel), he has already ported the ParseExcel module. So, we've got the same man in charge of both the reading and the writing aspect. That will probably help from an overall API design perspective, too.
