The work with improving and stabilizing the Ferret full text seach engine has reached another milestone as version 0.9.2 was released today.

Ferret is a high-performance, full-featured text search engine library written for Ruby. It is a full port of the Apache Lucene Java project.

As a co-author on the acts_as_ferret plugin that integrates Ferret and Ruby on Rails I can only say I'm satisfied with Dave Balmains work on Ferret.

Version 0.9.2 solves some problems we've had with the acts_as_ferret test suite on Windows. It now passes all tests.
