Original Post: RailsConf Selected!
Feed Title: Obie On Rails (Has It Been 9 Years Already?)
Feed URL: http://jroller.com/obie/feed/entries/rss
Feed Description: Obie Fernandez talks about life as a technologist, mostly as ramblings about software development and consulting. Nowadays it's pretty much all about Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
Just got a pleasant note from Chad that my presentation for RailsConf has been accepted. I'll be presenting a number of experience reports from ThoughtWorks teams putting Rails to good use for our clients over the course of the last six months, including the hardcore backoffice Rails stuff that I'm currently doing in Delaware. My talk will be heavy on real code, examples and practical advice, I promise!
Checkout the explanation for the delay in selection...
Thanks for your patience in waiting for the selections to be made. We started out under the assumption that the conference would follow a single track, but after expanding to 550+ attendees, we made the decision to do three tracks. That meant nearly three times the number of talks to select.
