Yes, it’s true. I’m happy to report that a couple weeks ago I began a contract developing the second generation of an existing web solution with Ruby on Rails!
Having been a Ruby enthusiast for several years now it’s great to have an opportunity like this. Omniscient Turtle, the consulting company I am a partner in, has had interest in Ruby and Rails but I was pleasantly surprised when our client suggested Rails as a platform. Having worked with Rails a bit over the past few months I believe it is more than up to the task.
I will be commenting on here on our experiences working with Rails in depth as the project proceeds. Stay tuned!!
