I was checking my referer logs, and came across a Japanese page which seemed to suggest that there was a .ja extension somewhere for my Ruby Linguistics library:

So, being kanji-challenged, I plugged the URL into babelfish, and got this (emphasis mine):

Language framework on Ruby (? ). We want the method of using looking at the sample, but the way the natural language which transfers in the character string is converted to appropriate shape. For example single number/plural conversions and language representation etc. of numerical value.

Sample (en):

require 'linguistics'
Linguistics::use(:en) # extends Array, String and Numeric
"dog".en.plural # => "dogs"
5.en.numwords # => "five"

When this is done with Japanese, such a feeling kana? Sample (ja):

"Dog" ja.plural # => dog
5.en.numwords # => "five"

There is no Imai vagina and others.. But something may be a use

I’m not sure what an “Imai vagina” is, but the fact that there isn’t one is a bug I intend to fix.

Seriously, though, I’d love to get a Japanese extension into the module, but I haven’t the requisite language skills. Although I will test to see if (as appears to be the case above) calling one language’s proxy method corrupts other language proxy methods.
