If you are in the Phoenix, AZ area, and are involved (or just interested) in Internet and "New Media" design, development, philosophy, and what have you, then you should keep an eye on Refresh Phoenix.

Refresh Phoenix is a community of designers and developers working to refresh the creative, technical, and professional culture of Internet developers in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

The basic idea is to organize casual social gatherings of Internet geeks and freaks so we can exchange ideas and information in a relaxed environment. Get folks away from the glowing screen and out into the real world for a change.
