Feed Description: Obie Fernandez talks about life as a technologist, mostly as ramblings about software development and consulting. Nowadays it's pretty much all about Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
Wow, the lineup of great conferences coming up for the remainder of the year is mind-staggering. Someone pleeeeease send me to Pop!Tech. At least I get to go to Rubyconf 2005.
I have been very busy at work. The bad news about being so busy is that it put a hold on the Ruby and Semantic Web stuff that I was so excited about. However, the good news is that I'm getting some hardcore experience delivering a serious, production-ready Ruby on Rails application for a paying client. The experience is also triggering tons of new ideas.
In other news, my personal site is now ready at obiefernandez.com. The main reason to launch a new personal site was to have a stable home for my writings, starting with a new original article about Open vs. Closed World assumptions. I'm also detailing my ideas and experiments with JohnHenry, the new open-source project that I'm cooking up with Michael Granger. The project builds on the ideas in the open-world series of article, so definitely go check it out.
