I watched Troy the other night. I liked it, even if the critics didn't. Then again, I spent far too long studying that time period, and I've read The Iliad several times. :)
I think they did a good job with just about everything. The costumes and sets were good, and the fight scenes were both good and believable. I'm glad to see they didn't go nuts and do some sort of Matrix malarky with Achilles. I know some things were technically "historically innacurate", but only infosar as The Iliad, and the Homeric tradition, can be considered as a source of historical information.
The only thing I winced at was the priestess of Apollo killing Agamemnon. I mean, that kinda messes up the whole Oresteia, know what I mean? :)
