Well, haven't written much here. So here's what's going on.
iBook: my iBook G3's logic board failed for the fourth time. I called Apple, and I will be receiving a new iBook G4 1.2GHz. I just send my G3 by Purolator so I can get the new one. I'm pretty impatient, I've grown really addicted to OS X and to a computer I can carry around anywhere in the house. Customer care dude said it would take 7 to 10 days to get here. Let's hope it's 7.
Job: I filled a job paper thingy from Merck Frosst. It appears I am among the candidates they are really considering for the job. I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best.
Emacs: for those interested in that stuff, I now officially use Emacs more than I use Vim and I ditched viper-mode (caused bugs with some modes). Emacs is really, really nice, I really appreciate the Emacs Lisp customization, I can't think of a better suited language. Definitly beats vimscript, that's for sure :)
Programming: as I said I got my Ruby t-shirts, however I haven't coded any Ruby lately. I just don't have any needs right now that would require a custom-made script. I've downloaded Visual Works Smalltalk 7.3.1 NC, I may do a small project in Seaside, just to keep my hand at Smalltalk. Speaking of Smalltalk. there's a conference in Orlando, you can read James Roberton's blog to know what's going on there.
I bought Metal Gear Solid 3. Man, that's the bestest game ever, I love it, I only finished it on the very easy level and only because I used the EZ Gun (which gives you 80% camo), however my main interest wasn't the game itself, but the story. And I was not deceived, it rocked. OMG! OCELOT! What's he up to?
Now, I'm not at all into that new age stuff and karma crap, but what this says about me is right on for the most part! So much so that it's almost scary. Almost. I checked a few of people I know, and they were on too, for the most part.
