CafePress manages to pack quite a bit into a rather small box. I've read a small number of comments about the quality of CafePress T-shirts, and was concerned that I'd end up encouraging people to buy crap.
The shirts themselves seem to be of good quality cotton, made by Hanes. The graphic are applied as what seems to be some sort of iron-on decal or applique, as opposed to direct printing of ink on cloth. If you've been to RubyConf and gotten a T-shirt then you'll have an idea of what I mean.
I'm not all that crazy about this sort of construction; such shirts tend to feel as if they have a stiff, extra layer attached (which, I guess, they do). In many case, though, this stiffness fades after washing. My concern is that the graphic itself may fade as well.
I want to be sure that people shopping at RubyStuff get their money's worth, so I've taken some initial pictures of my new acquisitions, and plan on documenting their progress as they make regular visits to my washing machine. I'm going to try and remember to turn the shirts inside out (i.e., the graphic should be facing the inside of the shirt) before washing, to minimize abrasion. (This is generally good advice for all illustrated shirts, though I tend not to follow it and different shirts hold up better than others over time.)
In the meantime, you can get an idea of what CafePress regulars think.
