I've kinda wanted a Sun workstation at home for a while as a dev box (and pretty much everything else when I'm not playing games). Unfortunately, Sun has wanted top dollar for hardware that is about 4 years behind the cheapest El Cheapo PC at the local Best Buy. No thanks.

Recently, however, Sun has started selling the W1100Z and W2100Z, which are single and dual CPU Opteron systems that are actually *affordable* for ye average computer hacker. You can take a look here.

Hm..should I wait for the dual core Opterons? Do such things even exist?

Anyway, I want. Gimme.
