In the past, the problem with learning Ruby has been the lack of documentation. There’s plenty of documentation now, but lack of organization, I guess. (Folks are working toward changing that.)
There’s some more documentation coming your way now: beginning this month—May 2005—Linux For You is carrying a column, Ruby Corner, dedicated to Ruby, written by yours truly. There’s lots once can do by talking about Ruby. And there’s probably nothing better than talking through a popular magazine, to a targeted audience.
I’m not putting these articles online yet: I don’t want to make things worse. I’ll put all of them, as a collection, later.
More power to Ruby!
While we are at it, sometime back, why posted about Round Two of the Ruby-Lang redesign. I could simply leave this at that, but the design, mostly the work of John W. Long, is so damn good that I had to post a screenshot. (Click for a larger image.) There’s another, slightly modified version, that adds some depth to the main container, sitting in the redesign blog. Does your favorite programming language have such a kickass (website) design? Dumb question, of course it does!
Damn, we’ve given given you so many reasons now. :-)
