 Ecto

Adriaan released version 2.3 of the ecto weblog editor for Mac OX X. This new release is clearly inspired by the design changes Apple introduces with the soon to be available release of Tiger. Additionally, this release sports a new set of icons.

On the non-eye-candy side (read: technical advancements), ecto now supports a dealing with the various tag based sites out there (such as del.icio.us, Flickr, and Technorati) as well as an enhanced HTML tag editor.

There's one thing I love about ecto which none of the other blogging tools have: You can drag and drop images into the editing window (even from Safari!) and it'll get uploaded (after optional treatments like scaling, linking, etc.) when you post the entry. Lovely!

Oh, and did I mention it works beautifully with Typo? :)
