Been a while since I've written anything here, so I guess it is time to update!

Job
Well, I am officially out of work. The technician I was replacing came back, and now I am home, hunting for a new job and sort of hoping that I get called back. Last Thursday I went to see Anne-Marie one last time before my departure and I spent a wonderful hour in her company. Hope to see you soon AM!

Programming
I am still working on a Ruby on Rails project, and it's slowly shaping up. I had some problems because of a bug in Rails 0.11.2, that was fixed when 0.12 came out, so now I can continue. Other than that, I did not win the IORCC. However, it was very nice to participate and I have an idea for next year, I'll try to write an ambigram (not sure if this word exists in english, that means a symmetrical program.)

Through a post by James Robertson, I found out that the next version of Dolphin Smalltalk is just about to be released, and the little idea space video really makes a programmer's mouth water :)

Reading
I read "The Life Of Pi". Not a bad book, but the ending wasn't as unexpected and as jaw-dropping as my mother had led me to believe. Still a good read. I also read "Angels & Demons"; great book! I had already read "Da Vinci Code", but I thought this one was even better, I was so into it that I read it in two days! Highly recommended! Right now, I'm reading "Red Storm Rising" by Tom Clancy. Very hard read, very technical and political, I can't read it at the same pace as A&D.

Misc
Yesterday I bought Grand Turismo 4 for PlayStation 2. Nice game, very hard, I'm only at like 2% of the game. I still only have one car, but it's helping me win money to get along faster in the game.
