Original Post: Open Source So What?
Feed Title: (render-blog Ng Pheng Siong)
Feed URL: http://sandbox.rulemaker.net/ngps/rdf10_xml
Feed Description: Just another this here thing blog.
James Robertson wrote that someone who crashed BottomFeeder while
importing 5000+ feeds assumed it was due to the spawning of that many
threads. James went on to explain how BottomFeeder works and why OP's
trouble was most likely due to memory trashing.
So in this case BottomFeeder's being open source didn't matter because OP
didn't UTS to find out where the problem was.
OTOH, open source means James's explanation can be verified, if anyone
cares.
