Ted Leung writes that he is doing
"commons-based peer
production of software, which is an economically

what we call 'open source'." He mentions several times that he is paid to
work on this stuff; by IBM, for example. "Just simple hard nosed
economics."
At this point I shall quote the old economist joke: If you ask two
economists about something you'll get three opinions. (Except Google can't
give me the definitive reference to this joke. Bad Google.
