Being a enthusiastic fan of the Civilization franchise, I occasionally peruse various sites for news on how development of Civilization IV is coming along. Somehow, though, I missed this forum post about a presentation the lead developer gave a few months back. The interesting part from a Pythonista's perspective, though, is this: [W]e are integrating Python into the code-base so that the more algorithmic parts of the game (map generation, combat, triggers/events, AI, etc.) can be scripted by the modding community. I saw that and about fell out of my chair. I guess it's true, then, that only civilized people...
