I do not recommend that you read these confusing notes written by Daniel Steinberg of Guido's State of the Python Union talk at the O'Reilly Open Source Convention, because the language is clumsy and the content is confusing and at places incorrect. For the time being, you are better off reading the slides of the State of the Python Union talk in EuroPython or Stefane Fermigier's EuroPython conference report, day 2. And I suppose Guido might make the slides used at OSCON talk available in the future, if they are significantly different from the EuroPython slides.
