Ok, (if) since you are using Firefox, type in any address with the colon (':') missing after http. What do you get? I get microsoft.com. (after poking around a friend discovered that just typing in 'http' in the URL bar does this).

Neither http.com, .net, or .org are registered to MS.

What the heck is doing this?

(Ironically IE does not do this. It just takes you to MSN ;)
