To be completely honest, I did not know how exactly does the X Window clipboard hell work and never really bothered to find out. (And I am sure that users shouldn't need to be forced to find out things like this, but, well, life is tough and then you die.) I did know that there are "different clipboards" or however-the-hell you should call them, but I was never sure how they worked under hood. All this of course makes things only more complicated and difficult for the use case and usability in general, but I am sorry for spreading mis-information.
