Interestingly constructed article. It contains a certain amount of marketing but also enough architectual information to make it worthy of a Java.net post. In essence ULC has created their own custom version of the various Swing components and implemented them in a half-object manner with both client and server pieces. As the article points out at the end this isn't an optimal solution for productivity application that require extensive client side processing.
