As you know in J2ME applications when an incoming SMS or call comes to handset the J2ME app is never properly paused through the pauseApp method in the main midlet and most work arounds are nto very workable. A work around that does work is call Displayable.isShown() at every frame in the Canvas class and if false then call the pausedApp method in midlet as game is obviously paused.

The only problem is that is within in the game itslef. So what hapens on the option screen with the same incoming sms or phone call? So right now attempting to figure out where I can call the same call in the other menu screens to make sure can recover from a pause caused by an incoming call or sms.
