After getting over Espial taking down DeviceTop.com and not saving the content somewhere else, I thought I would not find any good news to report on iTV(javaTV). As you know there are several ways to emulate iTV, both non hardware software spoecific ways and both hardware/software specific ways.
If you actually have the iTV hardware with a LinuxOS solution and connection ot your LinuxPC you can now fully emulate iTV with no heavy Licensing fees through the use of the CreaTV Live CD. they provide a streaming telecast to enable you to do a full test, neat! Remember, its CD size of 700Megs downloadable.
Although, in the US iTV adoption is somewhat slower due to FCC being Clear(Fear)Channels Competition Eliminator slave rather than work towards present innovations. Its nice to know that baby steps I have taken thus far into iTV(javaTV) will becoem product viable at some point in the near future.
