I just recently discovered the fact that the most advanced java products are priced around 500$, lets see what i have:
IntelliJ IDEA - no further commenting, the best IDE in town KodoJDO Standard - a really nice JDO implementation Resin - Perhaps the best Servlet Container out there JProfiler - IMO a great profile for its price range
500$ seems to be the perfect java tool price segment. Of course you wont find any BEA or IBM product in this list, because they prefer a completely different range . Feel free to add other great java tools in that range on the list.
