I've added the Music category back to my category list. The last few weeks I have been spending more and more time on writing music so I figure that its time that I talk about that a little bit.
A little background: I graduated with a Music Composition degree from the University of Miami in Florida. The first two-and-a-half years of college I played with a band called Outlit. We had gigs in numerous places in South Florida but that's about as far as it went. One thing about a band is that it is hard to stick together. I left for Vienna for an exchange program and that was that.
Move forward a couple of years. I now have a wife, kids and a mortgage. I had almost stopped writing music completely, aside from a few dance tunes.
Fast forward to now: I hooked back up with the singer from Outlet and we have been writing new stuff. Its very nice to be able to be involved in music again - its great for anger management. Hopefully within a few months I will be able to put at least one of the tunes online somewhere.
