As I go through this engineering of the Orca TDD Build Framework for J2ME, there are decions that can influence how easy the framework can appear to developers to use. Default Configuration Setting is one of these decision areas.

Most build script authors put the default configuration settings in their build scripts and then forget aobut the settings and then the typical build script user forgets what they represent and then relies on what little documentation ther might be to make changes. What could be accomplish is that the default configuraiton settings have two places, one place in the rpoeprties files and the 2nd place in the build rules quantifying if the full configuraitn is actually correct for using the Build Framework.

Then we have an opporuntiy through the log system to teach the correct way to configure the build framework to decrease developer mistakes.

Part of the power of the AntXras ANT extension is that I have the build rules feature and the log4j bridge feature to construct sub compoenents that handle issues such as this one and many others.
